MILESTONES
Our journey began with a simple belief that science and technology can unlock healthier, more sustainable aquaculture.
BWSea was incorporated in October 2021, with a vision to transform offshore aquaculture. Despite COVID lockdowns, we focused on building offshore infrastructure, a strategic first step. By May 2023, our vision became reality with the launch of our first marine deployment platform, a modular and reusable system that reduced costs and delivered real impact. BWSea was granted multiple patents and a national standard in China, affirming our leadership in sustainable aquaculture innovation.
Innovation has been at the heart of the company ever since. In 2024, BWSea joined the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (hktsp.org), an international platform for innovation and technology. We collected field data to advance our biotech and AI-powered aquaculture disease prediction innovation. This was another huge moment for us as we joined one of the international leading ecosystems for innovation.
Later that year, we were honored to be awarded the Ningbo Talent Program. And in 2025, the grand opening of our Ningbo headquarters brought us closer to the heart of aquaculture and the farmers we serve, marking another step toward scaling our mission.
